Stan Collymore has insisted that Chelsea and Manchester United will battle it out to sign Harry Kane this summer. The 29-year-old faces an increasingly uncertain future at Tottenham after entering the final 18 months of his contract.
Kane is yet to pen a new deal with the north London outfit and a number of top European sides are said to be keeping tabs on his situation. In fact, he almost joined Manchester City in the summer but a move collapsed and Pep Guardiola welcomed Erling Haaland to the Etihad Stadium instead.
With an element of doubt over Kane's future, football.london understands that Fabio Paratici has been in contact with the England international's team to discuss an extension but formal discussions have not yet begun. It's also understood that the striker is open to discussing fresh terms but, following the drama surrounding Antonio Conte, he's now been gifted the 'perfect excuse' to finally leave Spurs.
