Chelsea have given Manchester United a clear deadline to complete a Mason Mount transfer this summer. Several Premier League clubs showed an interest in Mount throughout 2023 as his troubling contract situation continued but with the summer window now open, only Man United are pushing hard for his signature.
Two bids have already been sent for Mount from Old Trafford, with the latest worth £45million up front with a further £5million available in add-ons. Chelsea countered that offer with £60million up front and the same amount in add-ons and despite no agreement being reached, a compromise could be found in the coming days.
According to a report from the Mirror, a transfer being agreed is close with a deal in the region of £60million, including add-ons, the expected cost now Chelsea have lowered their asking price. Personal terms have already been finalised which just means an official offer is needed before the final fee and structure of the deal is decided.
