Chelsea host Crystal Palace in another huge Premier League London derby today with Graham Potter desperate for victory.
The former Brighton manager is under increasing pressure at Stamford Bridge and the Blues are now marooned in mid-table and could even fall behind another capital rival with a big loss this afternoon. Beaten at Fulham on Thursday, it’s another massive game for Chelsea.
The hosts have now won just one of their last nine matches either side of the World Cup break and are in the midst of their worst top-flight run for some 27 years ahead of next weekend’s trip to Liverpool and further London derbies against West Ham and Fulham. However, they have at least been handed a boost by beating Arsenal to the signing of Mykhaylo Mudryk.

There will be emotional scenes at the Bridge as Chelsea pay tribute to legendary former player and manager Gianluca Vialli in their first home game since his sad passing from pancreatic cancer this month aged just 58.
Palace, meanwhile, haven’t been particularly consistent during Patrick Vieira’s second season in charge but have proven capable of springing surprises under his watch. The Eagles have lost three of their last four games and all of their last 11 meetings against Chelsea.
