Chelsea eye Jadon Sancho swoop with audacious Manchester United swap plan amid fresh Victor Osimhen talks

Chelsea are interested in a deal for Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho, potentially featuring Raheem Sterling going in the opposite direction.

The Blues have a wealth of attacking options already at hand but The Telegraph report on a swoop for Red Devils outcast Sancho before Friday’s transfer deadline.

It is even said that they will offer Sterling in a swap deal having made the England international available for transfer after he was discarded by coach Enzo Maresca.

Aston Villa, Juventus and Crystal Palace have been linked with Sterling but it is not known if United would be keen on a deal. According to The Athletic’s David Ornstein, the 29-year-old wants to negotiate a pay-off from his £325,000-a-week wages before deciding on a move elsewhere given he has three years left on a contract estimated to be worth in excess of £50million.

Sancho has not made the squad for either of Man Utd’s Premier League games this season after appearing off the bench in the Community Shield. Italian giants Juve are also reportedly in talks to sign him.

Chelsea have already brought in ten players this summer and have a dozen or so players training away from the first-team in the hope of gaining moves elsewhere. But they appear to be keen on more signings and are said to be in talks over a loan deal for Napoli forward Victor Osimhen.

Al Ahli have emerged as genuine contenders for the Nigerian with reports in Italy detailing a £59m bid from the Saudi club. Personal terms talks are taking place although it was previously said that Osimhen doesn’t want a move to the Middle East.
