Edouard Mendy has thanked Petr Cech for their time working together as the Chelsea legend departs Stamford Bridge for a second time.
The former goalkeeper, 40, left his role as technical and performance advisor this week as part of the club overhaul since Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital’s takeover.
After working with Cech since arriving at Chelsea in September 2020, Mendy sent a heartfelt farewell message on social media.
He tweeted: “I want to thank you for all the moments, all the trainings and all the learnings we have shared together. Thank you for your trust.
“I wish you a brilliant future in your upcoming challenges.”

After Cech departed, he stated: “It has been a huge privilege to perform this role at Chelsea for the past three years.
“With the club under new ownership, I feel now is the right time for me to step aside. I am pleased that the club is now in an excellent position with the new owners, and I am confident of its future success both on and off the pitch.”
