Barcelona have revealed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang wearing a new shirt number, with the Chelsea transfer target revealed to be wearing the number 17 shirt for next season.

With the Catalan club's precarious transfer situation and their signing of Robert Lewandowski, it appears that the former Arsenal captain has slid down the pecking order in Spain. However, with the reveal signs would point to the 33-year-old remaining in Catalonia this season.

The new squad number was tweeted out by the official Barcelona Twitter account with the caption: "Different number same superpowers.". He previously wore the number 25 shirt at the club, with his new number indicating that he may be happy to remain in Spain after a difficult end to life in London.
