Recent rumours have suggested that Chelsea could be looking for a move for Robert Lewandowski. While I believe that Thomas Tuchel could use a prolific goal scorer in his team to adapt to his system, other options can be explored.
The fallacy of 'Bundesliga tax" is too risky. Whether or not it is real, the evidence suggests that it is much easier to be an exceptional goal-scorer in Germany than in England. Just ask Timo Werner. Once a 25+ goal a season player has struggled to reach ten this season.
Players such as Lewandowski and Erling Haaland sound appealing, but there's no one more accustomed to the struggles of the Premier league than a player who has been here all of his career. So I think I'd instead take up Jermaine Jenas' offer.
