Chelsea are considering a summer swoop for Richarlison but Everton would insist their talisman isn’t sold on the cheap. The ECHO understands that the interest from Stamford Bridge in the 25-year-old is genuine and while any move depends on Romelu Lukaku returning to Internazionale on loan, that deal is almost done.
Richarlison – who scored the winning goal for Everton against Chelsea back in May – is currently back home in South America but with two years left on his current contract, there is a begrudging acceptance among many Blues supporters that this could be the window to cash in on the fans’ favourite if he is unwilling to sign a new deal at Goodison Park. Under normal circumstances, Everton might have benefitted from his market value rising over the summer if he did well for Brazil at the World Cup finals but with the tournament not starting until November, potential suitors might be less inclined to spend big during January if he has just 18 months remaining.
