Chelsea are set to travel to the United States this summer for their 2022/23 pre-season tour. The Blues will fly to America to compete in the FC series, a competition that features clubs from all over the world.
They will be part of the 'Clash of Nations' tour, a week-long tournament that finishes with a derby against London rivals Arsenal in Orlando on July 23. A statement on the club's website read: "Chelsea will make a much-anticipated return to the United States this summer as part of the FC Series, a competition featuring clubs from across the globe.
"We will join the week-long ‘Clash of Nations’ tour, culminating in a stateside derby against Arsenal at Camping World Stadium in Orlando on Saturday 23 July. The Florida Cup will be up for grabs that evening. Chelsea will headline two other international matches across the US during the FC Series - on 16 July and 20 July - with locations and opponents to be announced."

However, given the ongoing controversy regarding the club's ownership, Chelsea continued by confirming that Thomas Tuchel's squad will only travel if the takeover has been completed by the time the tour is scheduled to start: "The club will be joining under new ownership. The Blues will only travel if the sale of the club has completed and accordingly are no longer subject to United Kingdom government sanctions."
