Chelsea announce stunning new kit update with major reveal amid sponsor delay

Chelsea have revealed and announced their new training kit range ahead of the 2023/24 season.

One day after the tops were visible to be seen as sported by Mauricio Pochettino in his first official pictures as Blues boss and other staff members around Cobham, the official launch has gone live.

Whilst the wait goes on for the main matchday jerseys for next season, the popular trainingwear collection has now taken a front row seat. In an announcement from the club, it writes: "Chelsea FC has launched the all-new 23/24 trainingwear collection in partnership with Nike, which includes drill tops, shorts and pants, as well as our pre-match jersey and anthem jacket, all designed with Nike Dri-FIT technology and lightweight knit fabric.

"The trainingwear features a fresh white, black and gold colour scheme, while our pre-match jersey is splashed in our iconic blue colour with a slight twist.

"The preparation for the new season has already begun as the players return to Cobham in style. The training starts now."

With the main shirt being a solid white chest plate with navy shoulder areas and a slick, gold trim for the Nike logo and Chelsea badge, the simple design has gone down well with fans online. After Pochettino was captured in some of the new kit, many flocked to Twitter to praise the new look.

"The training kit could be Chelsea’s bestseller in the next 12 months. It’s beautiful. Colour combo is on point. Fantastic job," wrote one user.

"Anything black & gold just hits the spot," said another whilst the general consensus appears to be that the club have hit a true winner here.

Meanwhile the wait for an official home and away launch goes on with questions remaining over the club's main sponsorship deal. Three's deal ended on June 30 with nothing coming from the club in terms of a new main partner. After it was reported last month that online casino and gambling company, Stake, were set for final negotiations over a one-year deal, huge backlash has coincided with a delayed announcement.

Until the primary shirt sponsor is decided and announced it is near impossible to launch the new kits. Leaked designs of the smart blue home shirts have now all-but-been confirmed and are simply missing the detail of a main sponsor, indicating everything is ready to go once an announcement is made.

In the meantime, it is all hands to the pump for Trivago, who have proved hugely popular and likeable training kit sponsors since agreeing their partnership for the sportswear range over 18 months ago.
