Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur's Champions League hopes this season could be set for a huge boost after Manchester United suffer another internal blow.
The Red Devils are currently exploring their options over what to do with striker Cristiano Ronaldo after the five-time Ballon d'Or winner went public with the ongoing issues with manager Erik ten Hag and the staggered improvement at the club itself.
Ronaldo is currently in Qatar with the Portugal national team and the future of the striker remains unclear. But ten Hag has been handed another internal issue to deal with after it emerged on Sunday that Anthony Martial was involved in a bust-up with a youth player.

According to the Mirror, the United boss was forced to halt a training session at the Carrington training ground on Wednesday involving his non-World Cup players. It's understood that a number of youth team players were implemented into ten Hag's squad for the session on Wednesday to boost the numbers and Dan Gore was the figure involved after clattering the Frenchman with a robust challenge.
Martial is alleged to have lashed out at Gore and the pair were pulled apart before the Under-18 star was told by ten Hag and his staff that tackling members of the first team were off-limits in training games. Gore did rejoin the session following Martial's apology and the session continued.
The last thing ten Hag and United will want is another issue with one of the attackers. Ronaldo's explosive TV interview with Piers Morgan looks like it'll be the final nail in the coffin of his Manchester United return meaning the Frenchman is expected to play a key role for United after the World Cup.
However, with Martial proving his short temper in the outburst, it could present an opportunity for Chelsea and Spurs to pounce on. The London rivals are set to rival United for a place in the Premier League top four this season. The possibility of Ronaldo, who scored 24 goals last season, exiting increasingly likely, ten Hag may have to search for a prolific goalscorer for the second half of the season.
