Chelsea and Real Madrid dealt transfer blow for 'next Neymar' amid Paris Saint-Germain proposal

Chelsea and Todd Boehly have been dealt a blow in their race for Palmeiras wonderkid Endrick who has been labelled the 'next Neymar'. The Blues are not the only club keeping close tabs on the Brazilian though as Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are thought to be leading the race alongside the Blues.

The 16-year-old helped Palmeiras win the Brazilian Serie A earlier this month after scoring three goals in just seven appearances following his promotion to the senior team just a few months ago.

His undeniable talent has already seen him become one of the most wanted attacking prospects in the footballing world prompting interest from European heavyweights despite his inexperience at the senior level of the game.

Endrick's father, Douglas Ramos, has not shied away from talking about the potential future transfer moves of his son revealing just a few days ago that they would be visiting Real Madrid in the coming weeks to see their state-of-the-art facilities.

While the man himself told Gazzetta he hopes to be playing Champions League football in the next two, three of four years after confirming he has began studying English.

Of course, Endrick revealing he was starting to learn English gives Chelsea somewhat of a transfer boost that he may be heading to England, but the latest comments from his Dad suggests a different team is now leading the race.

Speaking to Canal do Nicola, he said: "Paris Saint-Germain are the only club that opened negotiations with Palmeiras with an official proposal, as things stand.

"There are many club from different countries keen on signing him. PSG have already moved."

Following these comments, Boehly can safely assume PSG hold the advantage in the race for Endrick which means Chelsea and Madrid have some catching up to do after appearing for a number of weeks that all three clubs were on par with each other in this transfer race.
