Taylor Swift fans scrambled to get their hands on the first batch of Eras Tour presale tickets which went live on Monday morning and people are already preparing for her three highly-anticipated Edinburgh gigs.
The American pop star will belt out her much-loved hits across 13 dates in London, Liverpool, Edinburgh and Cardiff as part of her European stint and UK fans can catch her in Edinburgh for three dates on June the 7, 8 and 9.
However, only a few hours after they went on sale, cheeky Scots were trying to cash in knowing many fans will be heading into the Scottish capital and possibly looking for somewhere to stay.
One flat has been advertised online for just over £40,000 on the weekend of Taylor Swift's three concerts to be held at BT Murrayfield Stadium next year.
Following the announcement of the singer delighting 'Swifties' and coming to the capital city, Edinburgh Live reports that accommodation prices in the city have skyrocketed with one flat in Leith going for £40,075 for only one night.
Situated around a 15-minute drive from the stadium on Ferry Road, the one-bedroom apartment which sleeps only two people is described as a "quaint home."
The booking.com listing, managed by GuestReady individually, advertises all three nights, June 7, 8 and 9, individually at £40,075 and if you would want to book for all three nights for Taylor Swift performing in Edinburgh the overall price is an eye-watering £120,075.
At the very least as you would expect, the modern flat comes with amenities such as a Queen bed, private kitchen, flat screen TV, and free wi-fi.
The advertisement on Booking.com describes it as: "A quaint home in Leith is located in Edinburgh, just a 11-minute walk from Royal Yacht Britannia and 1.6 miles from Edinburgh Playhouse. The property is around 2 miles from Edinburgh Waverley Train Station, 2.2 miles from Royal Mile, and 2.4 miles from Camera Obscura and World of Illusions.
"Edinburgh Castle is 2.8 miles from the apartment and University of Edinburgh is 2.9 miles away. With free Wifi, this 1-bedroom apartment offers a cable flat-screen TV, a washing machine, and a fully equipped kitchen with an oven and fridge. Towels and bed linen are offered in the apartment. The accommodation is non-smoking."
But letting agents told Edinburgh Live the mammoth fee for the Leith flat is a "security rate" on a new online listing to prevent bookings before the property is completely ready. They added the flat is not actually available at that rate - which has been applied to all dates.
A spokeswoman for GuestReady said: "This property's rate is not accurate, unrelated to the concert, and not available to book at this price. This is a security rate implemented to a new online listing to prevent bookings before the property is completely ready. Normal and competitive rates are applied as soon as GuestReady's properties are ready to welcome guests, and can then be booked."
