Boston Celtics superstar Jaylen Brown came in second place during the 2024 NBA Slam Dunk contest, coming close to dethroning the reigning champion Mac McClung of the G-League. By a slim margin, however, McClung’s final dunk put him over the top, sealing a win and cementing a second-place finish for Brown.
In total, Brown had four dunks, advancing to the final round of the contest. He showed off his raw athleticism, his appreciation for the history of basketball, and his creativity in the process. His dunk honoring the late Terrence Clarke was particularly noteworthy. Brown may not have won the event, but he had a memorable night for sure, and did Celtics fans proud in the process.
