Cheapest Quality Street offers this week as Big Four supermarkets hike prices

With Christmas fast approaching, many will be on the hunt for cost-effective gifts, and you can't go wrong with a tub of Quality Street. Where you can go wrong, however, is the shop that you get your sweet treats from.

That is because different retailers offer chocolates at different rates, and with demand going up some are hiking prices. However, others are offering deals, with one supermarket selling them at a bargain £3.49.

The Big Four - Sainsbury's, Morrisons, Tesco and Asda - have diched their deals, with some tubs now costing a full £5. Here are just some of the deals that you can get from stores for different popular chocolate boxes like Quality Street, Heroes, Celebrations and Roses

This week, according to analysis from the Manchester Evening News, Aldi are offering the best deal with their boxes of Quality Street and Celebrations reduced to £3.49.

At Tesco, their 600g boxes of Quality Street were down from £4 to £3.50 for Clubcard holders two weeks ago - but now, they've been hiked to £5, making them one of the most expensive places to buy this week. They have launched some new deals on smaller quantities though, with reduced prices from Clubcard members.

Sainsbury’s have also ditched their deals on 600g boxes of Quality Street, Heroes and Roses, as well as the 650g box of Celebrations. They were previously down from £5 to £3.50, but are now back up to full price with no current reductions on any size cartons or boxes.

Morrisons have scrapped their £4 boxes, putting the price of 600g and 650g boxes back up to £4.99. However, you can get smaller boxes cut from £4 to £3.50, or from £3 to £2, helping keep costs low for shoppers looking to add Christmas treats to their trolley.

Prices have also risen again at Asda, who have removed the two for £7 deal on 600g boxes, and 650g of Celebrations. Although, 382g of Quality Street, 357g of Heroes and 370g of Celebrations are all down to £3 from £3.50.

B&M haven't once reduced the price of their festive chocolates, costing £3 for 450g of Quality Street and £8.99 for 900g of Heroes. A box of Celebrations comes in at a fiver, while 900g of Roses is also £8.99.

Elsewhere, Iceland are actually sold out of Quality Street, but their 650g boxes of Celebrations are now £5 or two for £8. The smaller Quality Street cartons remain on a three for £5 offer.
