Cheap flights to follow Ireland away from home in EURO 2024 qualifiers

Republic of Ireland's draw for the 2024 European Championship qualifying campaign has been made and Stephen Kenny's men are in a group that contains Netherlands, France, Greece and Gibraltar.

While not the easiest of opposition from a football point of view, all four countries represent wonderful away day trips and The Boys in Green will undoubtedly have tremendous support wherever they go.

With the games not kicking-off until March, now is the perfect time to book flights for these European adventures in order to get them as cheaply as possible. And you won't have to look very far, because we've gone to the effort of finding the cheapest flights into these countries so you won't have to break the bank to support the team.

GREECE: Game on June 16th - €319

A long and expensive trek is in store if you want to follow the team to Athens. By our reckoning, the cheapest way to go is from Dublin direct to Athens . If you fly out on June 15th and come back on June 17th, a return flight with Aer Lingus will set you back €319.

FRANCE: Game on September 7th - €146

This one is quite easy. The cheapest and handiest way is to go direct. A flight from Dublin to BVA Paris Beauvais will cost around €146 . We recommend flying out on the day of the game and flying home the day after , giving yourself a day or so to enjoy the City of Lights.

GIBRALTAR: Game on 16th of October - €134

Okay, so this is where it starts to get a little bit tricky. As the game is over a year away, there are currently no flights scheduled. Therefore, a bit of creativity is needed, so we looked up flights for as close to the October 16th 2023 date as possible.

First off, there are no direct flights from Dublin to Gibraltar . One way to get to Gibraltar is by flying from Dublin to London Gatwick with Ryanair , waiting for a few hours and then getting an EasyJet flight from Gatwick to Gibraltar.

On the way back, an EasyJet flight to Manchester followed by a Ryanair spin back to Dublin is your best bet. This trek would cost you €240 if you were to depart the day of the game and come back the following day.

But that's too much hassle and we have an easier way. First, get a return flight from Dublin to Malaga that departs the day before the game and comes back the day after for around €105 . Then, get a return bus ticket from Malaga to Gibraltar for €29 and you're sorted.

NETHERLANDS: Game on 18th on November -€120

Thankfully this one is fairly simple. Get a direct flight from Dublin to Amsterdam with Ryanair on the day of the game and return the day after for around €120 . Again, flights for November 2023 aren't available yet so don't take this figure as Gospel.

Now, there are possible cheaper workarounds such as flying into Eindhoven and making your way to Amsterdam from there, but in terms of directness, the above is the best way to go.

So, all in all, it could cost you as little as €719 to travel around Europe supporting the Boys in Green next year.
