Champagne lovers are in luck, as a number of top supermarkets currently have bottles of fizz at very reasonable prices ahead of New Year's Eve.
Many of us partake in the tradition that sees bottles popped at midnight to welcome in the New Year. And ahead of December 31, Martin Lewis' Money Saving Expert website has rounded up some of the best deals.
Only wines made in the Champagne region of France are allowed to call themselves "champagne". So you know you're getting the real deal if a bottle bears that name on the neck or label.

Champagne is known for being expensive, but you could get a bottle or two for a lot less than you might think. Here are some of the cheapest Champagne offers at Asda, Lidl, Aldi, Tesco and more.
Asda
Asda's Louvel Fontaine Champagne Brut is currently on sale for £9.99 - reduced from £18. It is described as "well balanced and fruity, this champagne brings together flavours of citrus and vanilla that are the perfect complement to the savoury notes of pâté".
Dozens of shoppers have left five star reviews, with one happy customer saying: "I thought this was a fabulous champagne for the money". A second said: "Very nice champagne. Can't believe the price. Pity I could only order three!" It is currently available to buy in-store or online.
Tesco
Tesco's Gartissier Champagne Brut is currently being sold for £15 - but this reduces to £10 if you have a Tesco Clubcard. It's sold out online but is available in stores, while stocks last.
Tesco describes it as "delicious and well balanced Champagne combines an enticing mix of fresh citrus flavours with elegant toasty notes and a long lasting finish, perfect for any occasion". The offer is available until January 1.
Lidl
Lidl's Comte de Senneval Champagne Brut is priced at £13.99 per bottle. It is described as being "an attractive mix of citrus and biscuity flavours, leading to a clean, dry finish, perfectly respectable and ideal for current drinking." The fizz is said to pair well with smoked salmon, and scores as being "very good" by wine expert Richard Bampfield.
Aldi
Aldi's Veuve Monsigny Champagne Brut is currently £14.99 a bottle in store and online, though if you're shopping online you'll need to buy a case of six bottles (this can be can be any combination of wines).
