A not-so-fearless prediction for Thursday night’s NLCS Game 3 at Chase Field: It’s going to be loud in there … and not for the home team.
Ticket prices for the Arizona Diamondbacks’ stadium are so cheap, there are stories everywhere about how Phillies fans are taking the trip to Phoenix to watch their team play, simply because when you pair it with the flight, it’s not too much of an expense.
Do you realize how cheap we’re talking here? As of Thursday morning, I saw tickets for under $20 on some resale sites. For a playoff game! Yes, I know it’s during the day out in Arizona and all that, but WHEW.
That’s the big story heading into Thursday night:
With Phillies up 2-0 on Diamondbacks, you can now get three tickets to Game 3 in Arizona for under $100 all in.

Dear Diamondbacks. Your fan base is a joke. NLCS tickets for $9??? How embarrassing. And your manager said it’ll be as loud as it is in Philly. He might be right because Phillies fans are going to overrun that place. pic.twitter.com/PFUgzYKNBe

Ticket prices start at $16 for the Diamondbacks and about $260 for Phillies tickets at Citizens Bank Park. I could probably buy 4 tickets, fly cross country, stay in a hotel for 2 nights in Arizona & save $ VS driving 25 min. from Wilmington to Philly. #NLCS #RedOctober pic.twitter.com/ZTo9gyMl4a

The fact that it’s cheaper for me to fly to Arizona, get a hotel, get Phillies v Diamondbacks tickets, and fly back then to just see them play in Philly is wild

Phillies will be facing Diamondbacks rookie righty Brandon Pfaadt in Game 3. He had an ERA of 5.72 this year.
Oh and there are a wild amount of tickets on StubHub for under $10 in Arizona.
Would never happen in Philly. Different in the desert. pic.twitter.com/P5cMQoIo14— John Clark (@JClarkNBCS) October 18, 2023
That’s just wild.
