'Charming' Bramcote pub to remain open as owner looks for new long-term landlord

A 'charming' pub will remain open whilst its owners look for a new long-term landlord. The previous tenant of the White Lion in Bramcote left last year, with owners Greene King still searching for a replacement.

The pub has been kept open during the search, with the owners looking for an "enthusiastic operator" who can build on the "excellent foundations". Greene King, in an advertisement of the pub, added it would benefit from a "re-launch of the existing [food and drink] offer and an improvement of standards".

A Greene King spokesperson said: “The White Lion continues to remain open as we search for a long term partner to run the pub with us. We actively encourage anyone interested in running the pub to get in touch with us.”

The pub retailer explained the introduction of more community focused events and activities on a regular basis would help to build the drink trade, whilst maintaining and improving the current food offer. Internally the site is described as "full of charm", according to its owner.

The annual rent for the pub, in Town Street, would be £26,500, with entry costs of £14,900 for any new owner. The forecasted turnover is £459,679, with a forecasted operator profit of £25,537.

The pub has two rooms and two bars, as well as space to serve 45 people. There is also a patio seating area and 25-space car park outside.
