Charlotte Dawson and Amy Childs have been remembering the late Queen Elizabeth II online with throwback snaps of them meeting the late monarch.
The reality TV stars both took to Instagram in the wake of the late Head of State's death being announced to share snaps of themselves as meeting the Queen during one of her many visits across the country during her 70-year reign.
Mum-of-one Charlotte, 29, began her trip down memory lane on her Instagram Stories, where she initially shared a black and white image of her late father, comedian Les Dawson, shaking the hand of Britian's longest serving monarch prior to his death in 1993.
Captioning the image, Charlotte – who was less than one-year-old when her father passed away – told her followers: "This picture is just amazing of my dad and her majesty the queen.
"I'm sure he'll be making you giggle up there."
The Ex on the Beach star then went on to share an image of herself in school uniform holding a bunch of flowers, ready to present them to the Queen, on both her Stories and her main grid.
Captioning the throwback snap, the star gushed: "I have the proper picture in storage with all my dad’s memorabilia I need to dig it out as I need to frame it & tell Noah how wonderful her majesty Our Queen Elizabeth II was.
"I feel so honoured & proud that I was able to give her flowers I was so nervous and my mum tried to make me take my braid out my hair but I said no I think the queen will like it. she was so lovely made me feel instantly calm… this is such a great loss to our country really won’t be the same." Speaking in 2018, Charlotte recalled being at "an awkward age" when she first met the Queen, and initially wasn't keen to present the flowers to the Head of State.
"I gave flowers to the Queen when I was about 12 or something. I was such an awkward age. I had this bl***y braid in my hair from holiday and I put my school uniform on, my mum made me," she laughed telling Express.co.uk.
Revealing she demanded a reward for meeting the monarch, Charlotte went on to recall: "I said, ‘If you’re going to make me do this, I want a phone.’ Because all my friends were getting these big fancy brick phones with the big wire coming out.
"So she got me a phone so I would meet the Queen. I’ve still got that picture, it’s hilarious. You can see the coloured braid from Marbella!"
TOWIE star Amy Childs also took to Instagram to share a similar throwback with her followers – revealing she also met the late Queen as a school-age child.
In the snap, the reality TV star looked unrecognisable with blonde hair and dress in her school's blazer, as a fellow pupil hands the late monarch a bouquet of flowers.
"What a very sad day… [love-heart emoji] RIP our beautiful queen," Amy captioned the nostalgic image following the death of the Queen on Thursday, September 9.
Queen Elizabeth II died at the age of 96 surrounded by her family. In the year of her Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of dedicated service to the Throne, the longest serving monarch passed away at her beloved Scottish estate, Balmoral.
Her eldest son and heir Prince Charles is now King with Camilla as Queen Consort. The Monarch leaves behind four children, eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, including Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, Archie and Lilibet.
