An emotional Charlotte Crosby described her new-born daughter as her 'biggest shining light' on her darkest days, after the recent passing of her grandmother, Jean.
The 32-year-old Geordie Shore original cast member took to Instagram to post a touching photo of young Alba Jean, after a whirlwind year of emotions including losing her beloved nana and finding out her mother Letitia was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Charlotte and her partner Jake Ankers, welcomed their daughter into the world back in October, and the Sunderland-born star has been incredibly vocal of her journey into parenthood ever since - despite taking somewhat of a step back from social media.
And earlier this week, Charlotte continued sharing her thoughts and feelings on her 'biggest shining light' while reflecting on the passing of her nana once more. Taking to Instagram she posted a studio snap of Alba Jean, with a touching and emotional caption.
It read: "Felt a little upset this morning with a wave of sadness about my nana. I guess it comes in waves and that pain won’t ever go away.
"But EVERYTIME I look at my beautiful little Alba Jean and I say her name I’m reminded of my amazing nana. This little girl has been the biggest shining light in this time for me and my family. On my saddest days she makes me smile and that’s just too special not to share with you all….
"The little lady who has been our strength through all of this wants to say hiya. My little Alba Jean Ankers my whole world and more. Love you so much this last 7 weeks have been the best of my life my girl."
And Charlotte's friends and fellow Geordie Shore housemates were quick to react to the beautiful post, with Holly Hagan commenting: "Most beautiful little angel girl. She melts my heart." Sophie Kasei, added: "I love her so much. I love u and Jake.
"Mamma Jeanie will always be with you and legacy will live on through all ur personalities! Ur the best mamma ever I’m so proud of yo uxxx."
Chloe Ferry, said: "Can’t wait to meet her," while Bethan Kershaw, wrote: "Oh my god she is just the most precious little girl."
The post comes after Charlotte's 'brave strong nana' Jean died in November - sending the celebrity's headspace into turmoil. Announcing her gran's passing, Charlotte wrote on Instagram: "My little nana Jean. Heartbroken doesn’t come close to how I’m feeling. The love of my life and the light of my life.
"From a little girl until now I have adored every inch of you. My brave strong nana. My beautiful nana. You were there when I entered the world and I was there when you took your last breath and left.
"I don’t think my world will ever be the same without you. I named my daughter after you for a reason nana I don’t think you will ever truly know how much I loved and adored you and still do.
"So many memories and this video is just a glimpse into them and it’s where I can constantly watch and relive them, it’s where I can come to see you anytime I want. What I would give for one more day one more hour with you even. I miss you nana I hope to see you again one day because I already yearn to hear you say “hello my darling” when I walk in to see you."
