Charlotte Crosby and Chantelle Connelly have come came-to-face to quash the tension between them over something that happened with Gaz Beadle six years ago, in emotional scenes that aired in the Geordie Shore reunion.
Chantelle joined the cast of Geordie Shore at the end of 2015, being seen on screen on MTV for the first time a few months later, going onto star in fifth anniversary special Big Birthday Battle and another run of the show, before staging a dramatic walk out midway through filming abroad.
Chantelle, who is now a mum of one and lives in Marbella, has made a shock return to the programme for its reunion episodes, first making a comeback for a huge gettogether at Boiler Shop in Newcastle earlier this year. To her co-stars' surprise she then also jetted out to Portugal to join the likes of Charlotte, James Tindale, Holly Hagan, Sophie Kaseai and Chloe Ferry on a group holiday, with Charlotte rather anxious about her arrival.
Chantelle got close to Gaz on Geordie Shore in 2016, just as Charlotte suffered a devastating ectopic pregnancy whilst carrying his baby. Chantelle wasn't aware of that but Charlotte saw a kiss between the pair play out on screen when she was going through hell and admitted she had never really got over that.
It was Chantelle who made the bold move of addressing the situation between the two, with her telling Charlotte: "Me and you haven't really spoke....Gary," with Charlote, in a piece to camera saying: "It's quite hard to tell Chantelle what I was going through at the time she was getting with Gary. It was a really sad and low and dark time of my life."
She then explained to Chantelle: "You didn't know this but when you got with him, it was when I just went through me ectopic pregnancy," with Chantelle replying: "Right, well I'm really, really remorseful. I apologise" Charlotte continued: "It's not even you that I'm hurt at, it's Gary and I'm glad that you're here as I'd like to start a friendship and maybe feel a lot closer than what we did before."
Chantelle then became emotional as she admitted she'd often felt 'alone' on Geordie Shore, saying: "Charlotte, you've got a lot of impact in tis house and I think if you maybe had a problem a lot of people would jump on the back of it."
At the time of filming the reunion, Charlotte, who gave birth to a baby girl at the weekend, was pregnant, so told Chantelle that, with her being a mum, she was now the one she "could relate to the most," before the two shared a tearful hug.
Geordie Shore The Reunion continues on MTV every Tuesday night at 10pm.
