Charlie Bird has updated his followers after ending up in A&E yesterday following a "bad fall".
The former broadcaster received treatment at St Michael's Hospital in Dun Laoghaire after suffering facial injuries but thankfully nothing was broken. Charlie also told fans that he is "still hoping" he will get to meet Bruce Springsteen when he performs in Dublin this week.
He said on social media: "Had a bad fall yesterday out walking .Ended up in AE in Michael’s Dun Laoghaire. Thankfully nothing broken. Staff were fantastic.

"So will be able to do Darkness into Light with my friends Pieta in the Phoenix Park. Still hoping I will get to meet Brucie even with a bloody face!"
Charlie, who was diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease in 2021, has said that seeing Bruce Springsteen in concert is the last remaining item on his bucket list.
He previously said: "I would love to meet Bruce Springsteen when he is here. I want 'Land of Hope and Dreams' to be played at my funeral."
