Charlie Adam admits he felt more pressure playing for Liverpool than Rangers because they PAID for him.
The former Light Blues midfielder was used to the demands at Ibrox having come through the ranks and knew what the club was all about. That helped him feel comfortable on the pitch but says added pressure to deliver comes when a club shell out a fee to land you. The former Scotland international knows how 'lucky' he has been in his career to play for both clubs who are massive globally.
The former Gers star - who also turned out for Dundee, Blackpool, Stoke City and Reading in his career - also believes Morgan Whittaker WOULD add something to Michael Beale's ranks as he delivered his assessment on the transfer saga for the Swansea City star. Speaking to Grosvenor Sport, he said; "I felt more pressure playing for Liverpool just because they paid for me. I was used to playing at Rangers, they're a big club, I understood what the club was all about and when I was on the pitch I felt comfortable.

"When someone signs you for money there's added pressure and you have to deliver.
"Globally, both clubs are massive and I'm lucky to have played for both. Liverpool are a great club with brilliant traditions and they're just going through a transitional period, which happens to every club."
On Rangers' pursuit of Whittaker, he added: "Swansea are never going to be happy with the bids for Morgan Whittaker because you never go in with your highest transfer offer first.
"Russell Martin doesn't need to play it out in the media, he should keep it all in-house and just say that you're not happy with it.
"Whittaker is a good player who is on the radar of a lot of clubs. He's had a lot of good loans and done really well at Plymouth. Michael Beale only wants to add players who will affect the first XI and Morgan will definitely add something to the team."
