Charles Oliveira Next Fight: Who Is 'Do Bronx' Next Fight Against?

The Charles Oliveira next fight could see the former UFC Lightweight Title holder have a shot at regaining his belt. Read on to find out when ‘Do Bronx’ is back in action and whether the Brazilian could fight for UFC gold again in 2025.

Charles Oliveira Next Fight: Could ‘Do Bronx’ Get Another Shot At The UFC Lightweight Title?

As the former UFC lightweight king, Charles Oliveira is widely regarded as one of the best fighters on the entire roster. He is without a doubt one of the best 155-pound fighters the MMA world has ever seen, and is once again knocking on the door of a UFC Title shot in 2025.

Charles Oliveira’s record currently stands at  35-10 (1 NC). This emphatic resumé consists of 10 knockouts, 21 submissions and just four wins via decision. The Brazilian MMA phenom is without a doubt one of the best fighters in history.

UFC fans last saw Charles Oliveira in action at UFC 309 when he beat Michael Chandler in their co-main event rematch prior to Jon Jones knockout out Stipe Miocic in the main event. The Brazilian put on a masterful display, with fans now calling for ‘Do Bronx’ to get a title shot again in 2025.

UFC President Dana White is evidently a big fan of ‘Do Bronx’, and will likely give him the opportunity of a title shot once again having more than earned it with his latest victory.

In regards to the Charles Oliveira next fight, as of today it is unconfirmed who he will fight. However, Islam Makhachev aims to defend his UFC Lightweight Title against Arman Tsarukyan at UFC 311, and Oliveira is almost guaranteed a shot at the winner of that fight.

As the former champion and fan favourite, nobody would begrudge Charles Oliveira of getting another shot at the Makhachev vs Tsarukyan winner for the 155-pound belt next.

The best UK betting sites would likely price the 35-year-old as an underdog against both Makhachev and Tsarukyan, given the fact both men have previously defeated him. However, write ‘Do Bronx’ off at your peril! Do not blink during Charles Oliveira’s next fight!

Who Else Could The Former UFC Lightweight King Fight Next?

After coming through his fight with Michael Chandler at UFC 309 unscathed, which the best UFC betting sites in the UK expected him to do, Charles Oliveira has all but guaranteed himself a shot at the Makhachev vs Tsarukyan winner in 2025.

This seems like the most obvious and likely outcome, but time will tell if this is the case or not. If for some reason Oliveira doesn’t get a shot at the 155-pound crown next, there could be a couple of other fights on the table for him potentially.

One of those options would be a fight in early 2025 against Max Holloway. Fans have been calling for this rematch for a few years now, and ‘Blessed’ may well oblige next year now that it looks like he’ll be moving up to lightweight permanently following his defeat to Ilia Topuria at UFC 308.

Holloway defeated Oliveira in their first fight back in August 2015 via TKO, a loss that ‘Do Bronx’ would surely want to avenge. The best sports betting apps would find it difficult to split the pair if this fight materialised, perhaps just giving the Brazilian the edge.

Another option for the Charles Oliveira next fight could be another rematch with either Justin Gaethje or Dustin Poirier. That being said, all of these fights are less likely for the 35-year-old thank a UFC Lightweight Title shot once again in 2025.

Time will tell what happens next for ‘Do Bronx’. However, following his impressive victory at UFC 309 over Michael Chandler, he has plenty of options going forward in 2025 and beyond.
