The Denver Nuggets have a 2-0 series lead over the Phoenix Suns in their second-round battle, and it’s in no small part thanks to their best player — Nikola Jokic.
On Monday night, the Serbian superstar put on a 39-point, 16-rebound, five-assist masterclass to lift Denver in a mucky 97-87 win over Phoenix. After the fact, the NBA on TNT crew discussed the ramifications of the Nuggets taking a commanding series lead.
Charles Barkley wanted to focus on the reigning two-time MVP Jokic and how he seemingly dominates games at will. For one of the more unique players in NBA history, these are certainly some wise words to appreciate Jokic more:
"Let's enjoy greatness. Watching this Joker play." 💯

Jokic has been around long enough that it feels like most people already understand how special and gifted he is. He’s got the MVPs. He’s turned the Nuggets into a title contender. And he might be having his real postseason coming-out party right now as Denver prepares for a deep playoff run.
But sometimes, it feels like he gets lost in the shuffle alongside some more established NBA names. So, Barkley is so right:
Let’s enjoy the big man’s greatness even more, shall we?
