Good Morning Britain took an unexpected turn on Tuesday morning (15 April) when Richard Madeley paused the show to share a breaking news update live on air.

Richard and co-host Charlotte Hawkins had been guiding viewers through the day’s top stories and weather when the broadcast was suddenly interrupted after a short ad break, reported the Manchester Evening News.
