Dublin Airport is yet again the topic of conversation online as many passengers slam the ongoing queues and lack of hygiene.
Nearly 400,000 passengers have passed through the doors of the airport over the last four days, including over 205,000 departures - marking its busiest weekend since 2019.
Delays met in recent weeks meant there were many missed flights, however, improvements have been made in terms of queuing facilities and recommended arrival times.

Despite these changes, it doesn’t seem as though the issue has been fixed with one passenger taking to Twitter this afternoon to simply write: “Genuinely cannot get over how bad Dublin Airport is.”
Another noted how 'filthy' the terminals still are and wrote: "Sitting here in terminal 1 and from the entrance to my gate (113) the place is filthy. Do we expect tourists to leave with a good impression."
As things continue to ramp up, with thousands of holidaymakers heading to sunnier coasts over the coming weeks, Dublin Airport has listed the busiest times being experienced at the moment.
Their post reads: “Peak times at Security can occur in Terminal 1 from 5:00 am to 8:00 am for morning flights, and in Terminal 2 at 5:00 am to 12:00 pm for morning and early afternoon flights.
“Terminal 1 has a second peak time at Security between 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm for evening flights. Weekends (especially bank holiday weekends) can be busy all day (weekends include Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday).
“For passengers on the earliest morning departures, please note that Security in T1 is now open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week while Security in T2 opens from 04.00, so people flying from T2 should factor this in.”
As for arrival times ahead of your flight, Airport officials continue to recommend you allow 2.5 hours before a short-haul flight, and 3.5 hours before a long-haul flight.
If you’re checking a bag, you need to verify your airline’s check-in and bag drop desk opening times, and if possible, allow up to one hour of additional time to check-in luggage.
