Channel 4 viewers slammed a wife's serial spending habit in the latest episode of Secret Spenders. With annual inflation and food bills skyrocketing, the show aims to help families who are trying to cut back on their spending.
Presenter Anita Rani visited Cardiff Bay to meet Mario who suspected his influencer wife Zanif is spending all her money on going out and buying designer goods. Zanif, who studies fashion and also works as a part-time hotel receptionist, and Mario earn a combined income of £2,500 a month and according to Mario, they only have "around £20 or £30" left at the end of the month.
When Anita visited the couple in their flat in Cardiff, she was shocked to discover how many high-end designer shoes Zanif owns. Many disgruntled fans of the programme took to Twitter to voice their disappointment that she wants to be an influencer.

Analysing Zanif and Mario's bank statements, financial expert Peter Komolafe was in disbelief when he saw the high volume of transactions that had taken place. Zanif, meanwhile, replied: "I cringe at the price-tags and that’s why I don’t look at statements."
Zanif regularly indulges in expensive meals at high-end restaurants in Cardiff and spends a staggering £600 a month on beauty treatments. Anita tells the pair that if they ditch high-end designer goods and stop making impulse hot tub purchases, they could save £7,416 in just one year.
