Channel 4's A Place in the Sun host 'gutted' as buyers view homes without him

A Place in the Sun host Lee Juggurnauth was left mortified when potential buyers decided to search for homes without him.

Mark and Karen were looking for a home they could retire in in Costa Blanca. With a budget of £150,000 the married couple, from Runcorn, wanted a three-bedroom, two-bathroom villa or townhouse.

The pair also wanted "plenty of outside space", and a communal pool. Lee, a property developer who has worked all over the world, was determined to find them the perfect place.

However, things were off to a bad start, when Mark and Karen dismissed a three-bedroom villa as being too small. The pair even refused to view the rest of the property, saying it was "not for us".

Lee was clearly disappointed, adding: "Okay, let's move on. I'll take on board what you said." He then turned to the camera and said: "Oh dear, that wasn't the start I was hoping for."

Despite being shown four other properties, none impressed Mark and Karen. They then decided to search for homes without Lee's help.

Karen said: "We'll be staying out an extra week "So we're going to carry on searching." Lee replied: "I'd love to know how you get on"

The presenter, 34, admitted he was "gutted" he hadn't manage to show them anything they liked.

A Place in the Sun airs weekdays at 3pm on Channel 4 and All 4
