Tackling the serious and sensitive issue of non-consensual sex amongst teenagers, the Channel 4 feature-length drama Consent is based on true stories and a number of Welsh actors will star in the show.

When will Consent air on Channel 4?
The one-off film Consent will air on Channel 4 on Tuesday, January 7 at 10pm. The film is 87 minutes long and will be available to stream on All4.
What is the plot of Consent?
Showing and highlighting teen experience, social media, misogyny, and teenage sex Consent follows the main character Natalie. Working class girl Natalie has earned a scholarship to a prestigious private school which was previously a single-sex establishment and one where 'lad culture' runs rife.
One night Natalie says that Archie, who comes from a privileged family, raped her and had sex with her without her consent. Archie denies this and the drama explores how the private school deal with the situation.
The new drama film is based on hundreds of testimonies of young people from both state and private school backgrounds and is set in a fictional private school.
Who is in the Consent cast?
Lashay Anderson as Natalie: Playing the main character Natalie is Lashay Anderson. Previously Lashay starred in Black Cake and Rebel Cheer Squad - A Get Even Series.
Tom Victor as Archie: In his first major TV role, Tom Victor who studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, is playing Archie.
Other young cast members include Rhea Norwood, who starred in the hit Netflix show Heartstopper, Ty Tennant son of David Tennant and who has starred in the Game of Thrones spin-off House of the Dragon, Denzel Baidoo who has starred in Channel 4 drama Screw and Alex Heath who has been in the 2021 film Boiling Point. Welsh stars are also appearing in the drama including Kimberly Nixon, Richard Harrington, and Elen Rhys.
Kimberly is known for her roles in Fresh Meat and more recently Welsh sitcom The Tuckers, Richard lead the cast of Welsh crime noir, Hinterland/Y Gwyll and has also had roles in Endeavour and The Crown to name only two and Elen is known for her roles in Panic Button and The Mallorca Files.
