A Place in the Sun host Ben Hillman was off to a bad start during Wednesday's episode.
The Channel 4 property show was back for its third episode of the week, with Ben helping Alison and Martin in their quest to find the perfect holiday home. With their children now grown up, the couple felt it was the perfect time to start a "new phase" of their lives.
The husband and wife were looking for a home on Spain's Costa Dorada. With a budget of £120,000, they wanted somewhere that would be a short walk from the beach.

As the search got underway, Ben showed his potential buyers around a three-bedroom, one-bathroom property, on the market for just under their budget. However, Martin warned he wasn’t prepared to undergo the necessary renovation work it needed.
Up next was a two-bedroom bungalow in Cala Egos. On the market for just over £114,000, it had two bathrooms and a communal pool.
Martin seemed keen immediately, as he said: "This is a picture of what a holiday home should be". Alison agreed, adding: "This is a perfect apartment".
But after they and Ben left the home, Alison changed her mind. She told a disappointed Ben: "I just feel it's a little bit away from the centre. I'd rather lose the second bathroom and have a better location".
The pair then found niggles with the third and fourth properties. Thankfully, though, the last home they saw ticked all their boxes.
The two-bedroom apartment on Miami Beach had two bedrooms, two bathrooms and stunning sea views. Alison and Martin put in an offer, and as it was accepted, Ben wished them well on their new adventure.
