Changes to Nottingham Sausage and Cider Festival due to high demand

The Sausage and Cider Festival is returning to Nottingham’s Wollaton Park on Saturday, May 27. This year's event will have an array of live music, multiple food vendors, over 50m of bars and more entertainment than ever.

Due to high demand, two more stages have been added. Crowd-pleasing band Toploader will be headlining on the main stage. There will also be tribute bands for The Kings of Leon, Oasis, Queen and Madness, plus support acts, on-stage speed sausage eating contests and chilli eating competitions.

The second stage will be home to a new silent disco where revellers can put on headphones and choose their own beat to jam to. The third stage is a new Mini Grooverz tent where little ones can have a kid-sized rave and party like never before with their very own mini dance floor.

A variety of unique flavours of craft ciders including rhubarb, cherry Bakewell, chocolate and pineapple will be available, plus prosecco, gin, beer and soft drinks. On top of that more than 12 different kinds of sausage will be on sale.

Spokesman Tom Cullen said: "Sausage and Cider Festival outdoors is a feel-good event with great music, a huge variety of cider flavours and great independent food operators. We are excited to be able to host our outside event in Nottingham again for a bigger and better event for the whole family to indulge in.

"The new announcement of the silent disco, and Mini Grooverz tent, will give you even more to look forward to.”

Demand for the event is already high. Pre-sale tickets sold out in just four days. Tickets are now on general sale, with half-price tickets available from £19.50, via buytickets.at/eventticket/873242
