Chandigarh logs 8 new Covid cases, weekly positivity rate goes above 1%

CHANDIGARH Covid-19

CHANDIGARH: The weekly positivity rate has risen above 1% in the city since the start of the month. Doctors in the city hospitals have started instructing senior citizens and other patients with high risk to wear triple layered masks in hospitals/crowded places. Though eight new cases of Covid-19 were reported on Sunday from 18 on Saturday, the positivity rate has been high due to the rise in cases since May.

The confirmed cases are 92,234, including 1,165 deaths. 11 patients were discharged, taking the recovery count to 90,982.
