ICC Champions Trophy returned to the cricket calendar after a gap of eight years with Pakistan the designated hosts. It is a monumental moment for Pakistan and the cricket board as they host their first major ICC tournament since the 1996 ODI World Cup - 29 years ago.
The tournament will be played in a hybrid model with India playing their matches in Dubai due to security concerns. Rest of the teams, meanwhile, will play in the three venues in Pakistan - Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi. The first semi-final will take place in Dubai and the final, too, if India get there. In case India don't progress to the title clash, it will be held at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
