Preparations for next season’s Champions League are well underway. The draw for the preliminary round was conducted on Tuesday afternoon and will involve a mini-tournament to be played in Iceland involving the four lowest ranked teams. FCI Levadia vs Víkingur Reykjavík and La Fiorita vs Inter Club d’Escaldes will meet in semi-finals on June 21 with the final taking place three days later.
The victors will progress to the first qualifying round, the draw for which will be held on June 14. However, there will be another two rounds of qualifying followed by a play-off to make it into the group stages, where they could be possibly drawn in the same group as Chelsea or Tottenham.
The dates for next season’s competition have also been released and fans of both clubs will be dreaming of reaching the final in June at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul. With that said here are the matchday details for the 2022/23 Champions League.
