Not a single brand can compete with CFMoto in terms of how much talk and hype surround the possibility of it entering MotoGP and/or WorldSBK (WSBK) over the past few years. The brand looked poised to make a shock entry when rumor had it KTM might leave the premier class amid financial uncertainty, although nothing came of it. But it appears it'll take more to stop CFMoto's ambitions than KTM's latest 5-year MotoGP deal.
As reported by Visordown, the Chinese manufacturer recently confirmed plans to enter the premier class of motorcycle racing. This might seem redundant with all we know about the brand's racing efforts, but it bears significant importance. Until now, CFMoto's MotoGP ambitions were still technically rumors; now, the brand has made things official, and this comes hot on the heels of setting up its racing department in Rimini, Italy.
