A childcare charity is celebrating after its garden was given a facelift.
The Daisy Playgroup, part of the Daisy Drop-In centre in Craigshill, had its garden transformed with the support of DHL and nearby Letham Primary School.
The primary school gifted the playgroup the patch of land for outdoor learning and play a few years ago, but only recently did a parent make the gracious offer to do up the garden free of charge.
Karen Quinn, vice-chair of the Daisy Drop-in Centre, said: “As a charity we don’t have a lot of money, so for the team from DHL to do it all for free was great of them.
“It’s completed now and it looks absolutely amazing. The new planters have brought insects into the garden and it’s good for the kids to have that insight into the world around them.
“Just the other day we gave a sickly bee some sugar and water, and the kids were absolutely mesmerised at the sight of it.
“It’s made a massive difference. The kids are out near enough everyday, weather permitting!”
