The NYPD has released a sketch of a man wanted for an attempted rape in Central Park, a disturbing incident that has heightened safety concerns in the city's most iconic park. The incident involved a 21-year-old woman who was sunbathing alone when a man approached her, exposed himself, and then chased and tackled her. Fortunately, the victim managed to escape after a struggle and sought medical attention, although she was not physically harmed.
The suspect, described as a Black man in his 30s with a medium build and curly hair, was last seen wearing a light-colored shirt and shorts. The police have urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers to assist in the investigation.
