Center Parcs has made a big change to who is allowed to book a stay in its resorts. The leisure company, which set up its first UK village in Sherwood Forest in 1987, now has six sites across the UK and Ireland.
Previously, visitors needed to be at least 21-years-old to book a trip to one of its holiday villages. But now the sites' water parks, spas and outdoor activities can be booked by anyone more than 18-years-old, with Center Parcs' website stating "note that you must be over 18 to make a booking".
Center Parcs was reportedly put on the market for between £4bn and £5bn in May. The holiday resort group is currently owned by a Canadian private equity group that was reported to be speaking with potential buyers.

The Financial Times previously reported advisors to Brookfield Property Partners were seeking interested parties. It was also said UK ‘staycation’ businesses like Center Parcs are popular post-Covid investments for professional investors.
