Ahead of its opening in July 2023, Centara appoints Shigeki Nakagawa as the opening general manager for Centara Grand Hotel Osaka.
The 515-key Centara Grand Hotel Osaka, Centara's first property in Japan, aims to be a base for guests to explore the city’s spirited entertainment and shopping district. Nakagawa has more than 20 years of hospitality experience in a highly competitive local market, having previously worked at Hilton Osaka, The St. Regis Osaka, Moxy Osaka and ANA Crowne Plaza Hotel in Kobe. “We have closely witnessed Shigeki’s career growth. He is a very effective leader and manager, and we are delighted to have him head up our first Centara hotel to open in Japan,” said Thirayuth Chirathivat, chief executive Officer of Centara Hotels & Resorts.
