The Boston Celtics continue to plow through opponents in the early months of the 2022-23 NBA season, with their latest victim being the hapless Washington Wizards, who are struggling with an injury bug to many key players. But with the Celtics playing not only without injured forward Danilo Gallinari, starting center Robert Williams III, and MVP candidate Jayson Tatum, that isn’t too much of an excuse for the Wiz.
Down their best player, Boston made quick work of Washington, with the game nearly a wire-to-wire victory thanks to a huge performance from star wing Jaylen Brown and six players scoring in double figures to help pick up slack for the St. Louis native, including three bench players.
Let’s take a look at what Celtics and NBA Twitter had to say about the win.
First quarter
Garden's still filling up, but it's been loud here early.

I don't think people have necessarily made a big enough deal about how good Derrick White has been this year.

Even without Tatum, these Celtics are pretty friggin good.

If White made that shot, I could have died happy after that ball movement. That was beautiful basketball.

Porzingis (official super giant) really has no interest in offensive rebounds, does he?

The Celtics have two losses in regulation. Both Monday games in Chicago exactly four weeks apart.
Both Wizards games in Boston came on Sunday nights exactly four weeks apart. Celtics led by 25 en route to an 18-point win the first time.
They lead by 25 now after three quarters.

Another Jaylen Brown And-1 and Unseld calls a timeout to throw in the towel with 2:04 and #Wizards down 16. Let's see if Mazzulla pulls his frontline guys. #Celtics
