The Boston Celtics have a few things they have not had for a while as of this Friday afternoon — veteran big man Daniel Theis on their roster again and a clean injury report for the whole team, top to bottom. However, unlike much of those healthy players who have been with the Celtics for some time now, Theis and his fellow recent trade arrival Derrick White will not be suiting up for Boston just yet.
Speaking to the media ahead of the Celtics’ home tilt with the Denver Nuggets, head coach Ime Udoka related that it’s “to be determined” when White and Theis will start playing for Boston, and shared that it was ‘an opportunity for other guys with the rotation shortened” and the new arrivals get their physicals and other such work sorted.
However, with only 10 players able to suit up for the Celtics, we might see some unusual lineups take the floor as the Celtics continue to settle their rotations after majorly shaking up their bench at the 2022 NBA trade deadline.
