If his lack of playing time on the Boston Celtics last season got under the skin of reserve point guard Payton Pritchard, he certainly was not showing it much in a series of photos taken by his friend Chase McCann on an unnamed Cape Cod beach this past weekend.
There, the Oregonian floor general had his marriage proposal to girlfriend Emma McCann, host of the “Love Ya, Bye!” podcast (h/t Boston.com’s John Waller), documented for posterity.
McDonald later posted the photos on her personal Instagram account, captioning them “A love for a lifetime,” and McCann would also post a video to TikTok to add some context of how he shot the big moment for Pritchard.
The West Linn native is looking to see a significant bump to his playing time next season in the wake of the departure of veteran Celtics point guard Marcus Smart via trade last week — and in a contract year at that.
