For the casual NBA fan, if they are thinking about basketball at all right now, it is because they are watching it as part of the 2024 Paris Olympics. But for the avid Boston Celtics fan, the summer doldrums are a time to pine for their favorite team getting back on the court.
And we just got a juicy tidbit about the NBA’s (and the Celtics’) schedule for the 2024-25 season from the Athletic’s Shams Charania. The esteemed Athletic news breaker revealed Boston’s opponent for their Christmas Day game, and it ought to be a tilt worthy of the honor. Per Charania, the Celtics will take on Paul George and the new-look Philadelphia 76ers at TD Garden on Dec. 25, 2024.
Other games reportedly scheduled for that day include the San Antonio Spurs at the New York Knicks, the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Dallas Mavericks, the Los Angeles Lakers at the Golden State Warriors, and the Denver Nuggets at the Phoenix Suns.
