Celtic winger Thomas Hatton is set to join Ayr United on loan for the season, it is understood.
The 20-year-old, who impressed during pre-season, will gain valuable senior experience at Somerset Park.
Hatton recently showcased his talents by scoring in Celtic B's 3-1 victory over Hamilton Academical in the Challenge Cup.
The club has high hopes for the attacker, whose contract runs until the summer of 2028.
Manager Martin O'Neill said after Hatton's performance against AC Milan last month: "I just congratulated Tam for his spell on the field.

"He's prepared to take people on.
"I think that's like a dying art, which is great.
"He'll get all the encouragement in the world."
He added: "But I was really impressed with him.
"As I have been impressed with his attitude during the whole pre-season."
Predominantly a left winger, Hatton is also comfortable on the right flank.
Ayr currently sits second in the Scottish Championship after two matches.
They were narrowly eliminated from the Premier Sports Cup by local rivals Kilmarnock last Friday.
In joining Gary Naysmith's side, Hatton becomes the latest Celtic youngster to depart on loan, with goalkeeper Aidan Rice and midfielder Owen Hartington both at Dumbarton in League Two.
Kyle Ure is also expected to leave for Crewe Alexandra of England's fourth tier.
