Celtic vs Rangers headlines Scottish football bucket list

Attending the Old Firm derby has been named among one of the top things to tick off the newly published Scottish football bucket list.

The national has spoken as part of a new feature conducted by renowned Scottish football magazine, Nutmeg.

The quarterly publication asked supporters for their top 30 bucket list experiences. The piece was researched as part of next month's edition, which marks their 30th issue.

And attending big city derbies, such as Celtic vs Rangers, featured on the list. However, as revealed by editor Daniel Gray, the Edinburgh and Dundee derbies received a higher percentage of the vote.

Published in no particular order, although attending an away day at Ross County for the day out and Mallard Pub received the most votes, traveling abroad to watch Scotland, tasting some local delicacies and being a part of the Hampden Roar were all included.

"What surprised us was the diversity of things on people’s bucket lists," said Nutmeg editor Daniel Gray. “There was a big concentration on northern Scottish and non-league football and quite a low proportion of people choosing an Old Firm fixture.

"Indeed, rather than just watching Celtic against Rangers, the Holy Grail for a number of fans was a trip to combine it with the Edinburgh and Dundee derbies.”

The next edition is out on December 4, where a full explanation for each point on the list can be read.
