Albanian president Ilir Meta has met with Lanarkshire talent Rocco Vata - and received a present from Celtic.
The 17-year-old - who was born in Wishaw and raised in Hamilton - is one of the Hoops' promising prospect.
He has trained with the first-team on occasion after his impressive performance in the academy and Lowland League 'B' team.
Son of former Celtic star and Albanian international Rudi, they have been back visiting the leader of Vata senior's homeland.
A picture of the father and son along with Meta was posted to the president's official Twitter account as they provided a flag from Celtic's Premiership title win during the 2021/22 season.
Reminiscing on memories of the club's 1967 European Cup win, Meta said: "I was very happy welcoming today 2 special friends Rudi & Rocco Vata who brought me this special gift from Glasgow.
"This flag is twice special: bears the symbols of the Premiership victory & comes a day after we remembered the great victory of May 25, 1967 in Lisbon."
The Balkan nation's leader has been in power since 2017 and has often posted photos of his love for Celtic.
His friendship with the Vata's is one of the reasons he feels a strong connection to the Parkhead club.
