Celtic goal hero Liel Abada paid tribute to tragic Lanarkshire teenager Leon Brown as he opened the scoring for Celtic in the Old Firm derby.
After the Israeli's 8th minute opener he ran to the touchline and held up a t-shirt with a photograph of Leon donning the Hoops to adoring fans and television cameras in a touching tribute.
The 14-year-old died last month after taking part in the deadly viral Blackout Challenge.
Leon's heartbroken mum Lauryn Keating told last week how she discovered her son unresponsive in his room at their Cumbernauld home on August 25.
The 30-year-old said Leon had attempted the dangerous social media trend that led to his untimely death. It is the same trend that is thought to have left 12-year-old Archie Battersbee with a fatal brain injury that later led to his death.
Lauryn had arranged for the whole of Celtic Park to take part in a round of applause for her son during the 14th minute of the match with Abada opening the scoring and paying his own tribute to the young Celtic fan.
She previously said: "Abada is going to get a Celtic top into Parkhead for the team to sign.
"We have arranged for Leon's picture to be shown during the game with a wee message on the big screen.
"Forever 14."
Celtic star Jota added to the tally on Saturday, before Abada grabbed his second of the game and finally David Turnbull shot home following a horror blunder from Gers keeper Jon McLaughlin.
Following the tribute, Lauryn took to social media to thank the star for his efforts.
She posted: "Thank you so much to Celtic FC and The Green Brigade, but most importantly to Liel Abada.
"This meant the world for us to see and Leon would of been over the moon."
Leon's funeral will be held this Friday (September 9) at 1pm at Abronhill Parish Church, before he is laid to rest at Eastfield Cemetery
Lauryn said: "Everybody is more than welcome to attend.
"If Leon’s friends would like to wear Celtic tops or something green, then please do."
