Benjamin Nygren has kept the door open on a summer move away from Celtic after being quizzed on growing transfer speculation in his homeland.
The Swedish forward, who cost the Hoops a bargain £1.3million when he arrived from Nordsjaelland 12 months ago, hit 21 goals in 58 appearances in a standout debut campaign as Celtic landed a Premiership and Scottish Cup double.
That form has not only cemented his place in the Sweden squad for the World Cup in North America, but also attracted admirers down south, with English Premier League side Tottenham among the clubs credited with an interest.
Nygren was asked directly about his future after Sweden’s final warm‑up match, a 2-2 draw with Greece, and offered a coy response when speaking to Swedish station Radiosporten, saying: “We’ll see what happens.”
The 24‑year‑old’s comments are likely to alert potential suitors further, with Celtic facing the prospect of fending off bids for one of their prize assets just a year after landing him for a cut‑price fee.

The attacker also provided a fitness update after suffering an injury scare in the Greece clash.
Nygren had to receive treatment and was later replaced following a heavy challenge that left him nursing an ankle knock, sparking concern ahead of Sweden’s Group F opener against Tunisia in Monterrey, Mexico on Monday.
However, speaking to Göteborgs‑Posten, he played down the issue and insisted he will be ready to go. “I passed, then he came in and tackled me so I twisted my ankle. It hurt right then and there. We were going to change anyway, so we took it safe before it was too late,” he explained.
“I've sprained my foot before, so I can still feel the difference. I can walk, move, and stand on one leg. It felt completely okay. It’s part of the sport.
You give some, and you get some; that’s it.”
